Last year, i came across an autobiography of Martin Luther King Jnr in the library that i decided to read(i say of as he never technically wrote an autobiography, but this one was commissioned by the family and as wholly made up of his words from interviews and speeches)
Boy Oh Boy am i glad that i read it!
I will admit that i was moved to tears more than once when reading it.
He was an inspirational man who understood how the power of love could change the world.
In America today is Martin Luther King Day so I thought I'd share a few of his words with you......
Martin Luther King Jnr Born January 15, 1929

1955-56 Led a succesful effort to desegregate Montgomery Alabama buses
"I would rather be a man of conviction than a man of conformity"
1963 Wrote 'Letter from Birmingham Jail' arguing it was his moral responsibility to disobey unjust laws
"If you cant fly then run, if you cant run then walk, if you cant walk then crawl, but whatever you do keep moving forward"
1963- Delivered his I have a Dream Speech to civil right marches in Washingon DC
"Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere"

"There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but he must do it because conscience tells him it is right"
