Snapshots of summer.....

Seeing as i had many adventures recently which i didnt get
round to blogging about i thought i'd just share a few snapshots of my summer.

Thia is at Monkey World in Dorset,
where they house rescued Monkeys.
This Gibbon saw us and then came up and sat on this branch
and did the most hilarious little wiggly dance...
 At the Olympic Boxing....

Porchester Castle

Playing Mini-Golf...
when i told the woman in the shop my score at the end she was pretty shocked...
and not in the good way...
i think it was a record.

Sunday Afternoon bike trip to Netley Abbey

Christchurch

A trip to the submarine museum,
getting in touch with my inner submariner
(my grandad was on the subs)

He was the wireless man sending all the morse codes
i think its in the blood

Becoming A Beach Babe...

I went to beach in Italy this weekend and for the first time in my life swam in a warm sea.

This was probably because i am not in Scotland and not trying to swim in the North Sea which inevitably ends up with my coming out of the water blue and shivering....

it may have sparked a love of beaches that i never knew i had.

I have no pictures as my computer is still on the fritz...
but here is what i wish i actually looked like....

Go Away Nasty Grey Clouds....

I have of late been unconcisously making up a list of exciting summery things to do now that it is Summer time.....

i am all aglow with anticipation.

But the grey clouds seem to have come back and are spoiling my plans....

I guess I'll have to put them on hold until Mister Sun chases them away.

Here a few things on my summer list...

Climb Nanos and fly a Spiderman kite at the top of it
(cause i saw a Spiderman kite in a toy shop the other and secretly coveted it)

Swim in the outdoor pool that i have cycled past
many-a-day for 2 years and never been in but alwas wanted to

Have a barbeque

Go white water rafting....
again something i've talked about and never done...

Go to Vintgar Gore....it looks so pretty
These are just the tip of the iceberg....
Summer this year is going to be so FUN!

The Continuing Adventures of Rusty and The Childlike Empress.....

Rusty is my bike.

When i first moved to Ljubljana and my Dad was driving over with some things he asked me if there was anything i needed,
'a bike' requested I.
'A bike?' my Dad questioned
very sensibly seeing as i havent ridden a bike since i was about 8 years old.

but on arriving here i saw people of all ages and sizes cycling around and i was envious.
Ljubljana is a beautiful place to cycle around, mainly because its flat and the bike paths are so safe. In the summer the buses become empty and the cycle paths filled.

Being my Daddy and being a fulfiller of wishes he found Rusty
in the back of my Aunts garden where he had become lonely and misused ever since my Aunt had moved on and forgotten all about him and brought him over.

It was love at first sight.

Rusty has been in hibernation over winter but this weeki managed to bat my eyelashes at a bicycle pump owner the other day who duly came around and pumped up Rustys flat little tyres and yesterday we embarked on our first adventure of the season.

The sun was out and the birds were a-tweeting and i told Rusty how much i had missed him.

Unfortunately i have no pictures of Rusty and i , but instead here are some pretty pictures of other girlies with their very own Rustys....

(For some reason i only like to cycle wearing a dress...
it's such a lovely feeling.
I have also discovered that cycling in stilettos is pretty fun....)

(P.S i was not at all brave,
and melted like a piece of chocolate in a fondue)
