how much i love Pandas.
It is an obsession that started early on in my childhood that i dont recall quite how...
but it still lingers...
come on they are so CUTE!

A little bit of Marilyn....

I'm currently reading a biography on Marilyn Monroe,
here are a few thinks that i've learnt.

She stated that one of the highlights of her career was an impromptu entertaining of the troops in Korea during her honeymoon to DiMaggio.

She was an avid reader....and sometimes would not come on set until she had finished what she was reading

She was always trying to improve herself.

She a vulnerability that attract people to want to protect her

She would often answer reporters with questions so as to not actually answer their questions at all....for example when asked about her affair with Miller she replied,

"How can they say we're having a romance when he's already married?"

At the age of 16 she could skin a rabbit or a deer and cook it.

A French Affair.....(with cake soup)

i went to my French friends birthday last night, and for no reason at all decided to go in disguise as a Frenchman to keep him company....as he doesnt know any other Frenchies here in Ljubljana.

It was alright though as during the evening a couple of others popped in for a few moments to say hello....

there was Monsieur Pierre, artist/detective extrordinaire...

and Madame Coco....the Can Can girl from down the road.

Here is my favourite gift that he recieved that night which i was jealous of and wanted to steal. It is a CD entitled '33 najlepse pesme o Tito' which roughly translates as 'the 33 most beautiful songs about Tito' (the former Communist Dictator of Yuogolslavia, R.I.P)

and of course there was cake....which was served with a ladel which i think technically makes it cake soup....

Eeeeeeeeeek!!!!

Today i started my Official Christmas 25 day countdown....

I started it by calling up those who had banned me from singing Christmas tunes and sang (very badly) some down the phone to them....until they hung up.

It made me very happy

A little bit soulless....

Sometimes, if the weather is nice, i like to get off the bus a couple of stops early and walk through the allotments. They are little garden patches that the people who live in my area, (in very tall ugly communist apartment blocks), can grow their own vegetables in. Slovenes like to grow their own crops. They make me think what parts of Britain might have looked like during the WWII war effort....They look a bit like this......






So I was very shocked and upset when i got off the bus today to see that half of the area had been cleared and replaced with this.....

Maybe its because i'm a messy person.....but it made me feel like whoever planned it took away a part of the heart and soul that made it so beautiful....

Shiny Shoes......

I was full of excitement this morning as i drew up the blinds on my window to discover it was raining!!!

Finally, i got to wear my Sparkly Hot-Pink Welly Boots that i bought last time it was raining, but then the sun came out before i had a chance to put them on.

Oh how they sparkled!

Oh how they shone!

But most of all they protected my T00tsie-Toes from suffering from Squelchy Socks Syndrom.
